Each generation of soldiers is ritually celebrated and then ignored by a nation too ashamed to face the reality of funding invasions and genocides. The result is always more wars and genocides, and growing waves of homeless veterans going without the basics- over 37,000 homeless veterans, greater than the population of Laramie, WY. This is in the nation with the world's largest budget of $6.1T, and the world's greatest defense budget of $877 Billion, because the vast majority goes to weapons contractors like Elbit, Northrupp Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and Boeing.

In 2023 the Same Day VA Scheduling Act was discussed as a way to provide Veterans healthcare they need in time. Too many calls for medical appointments go unscheduled which delays treatment for conditions that can decline rapidly. Veterans often have greater medical needs than other communities and they should be getting responsive care that accounts for those greater needs. This Act was not passed in 2024, and Anti-ZSYP will continue to advocate for the passage of this necessary and praise-worthy legislation.
